About Uwe Boll
Uwe Boll is a German Director and Producer. A modern-day polymath at heart, Boll's erudition and his fascination with lifelong learning have made him one of the most valorous German directors of the late twentieth and early twenty-first century. Having initially pursued a rigorous educational blend of economy and literature at the University of Cologne, Boll went on to get his Ph.D. in German Literature from the University of Siegen in 1994.
Boll has made over 34 feature films with A-list talent featuring Jason Statham, JK Simmons, Elizabeth Moss, Ron Perlman, Ben Kingsley, Christian Slater, Dominic Purcell, Claire Forlani, Michelle Rodriguez, and many more. He won the NY Film Festival with ATTACK ON DARFUR, was awarded the Hessischer Filmpreis for IN THE NAME OF THE KING, and was nominated for the Max Ophüls Award for AMOKLAUF. He also helmed several cult films, including POSTAL and the RAMPAGE TRILOGY.
